emily turns ONE!

our little emily turned ONE this week! i can't believe it. i can't imagine my life without her. she has given us so many smiles and laughs over the year.

we had a family party for her yesterday and we had so much fun. thanks to all the family that was able to come.

Christmas with the Montagues

This weekend we went to Globe and celebrated CHRISTMAS with Chris's family. We had fun eating, opening presents and being together. It was so fun to see Emily open her presents and get so excited. I loved it!

SANTA!

I was a little worried about how emily would do with santa, because we all know how she loves strangers. :) We went to the mall just to look around and do a little shopping and we saw that there was no one in line to see santa. Emily was having a really good day and seemed to be in a good mood so we decided to see how she would do on santa's lap. At first she was really happy but then.... She looked up at him! She wasn't so sure anymore. She looked back and saw that I was still there and then she was okay. But then.... she looked up again at him and it was OVER! She started crying big time. Luckily enough they were able to get a "non-crying picture." I was surprised how well she did because sometimes she starts crying right away when she is with strangers. The only thing is I wish she was wearing something different but I hadn't planned taking her that day. Oh well! I don't think she is ready to get back on santa's lap anytime soon, just so she can be in different clothes. Next year we will have to plan a little better! I am just so exited to have a happy picture with her and santa. :)
